Home is where the … is (I)

Some blank walls, a small bed and a desk. Admittedly in it’s basic form a student room doesn’t exactly scream homeliness. Considering you’ll spend quite some time in this little room of yours, it wouldn’t hurt to liven it up. So how do you, without major renovations, turn this space into a home away from home? We asked four students for their tips and tricks.

Today’s tips are from: Aimée, applied languages student.

“My main goal was for everything to be perfect the day I moved in. Since I’m a bit of a procrastinator I wanted to avoid having to go and buy things in November. Because I probably would end up never doing it. Now I have everything I could possibly need in this room. If I need to print something, for example, I can do that right here. I practically never have to leave.

Being able to play some music in here was also a must for me. That’s why I brought my ukelele with me. I also play the drums and piano. But those instruments were a little too big to move. And I don’t think my neighbours would have appreciated it!”
